For the fourth consecutive year, KidsDays presented by Giant Eagle returns this Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24 to bring non-stop fun and games to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The event includes additional entertainment, scheduled animal enrichment, dance parties and more all for the regular price of admission.
Catch one of three daily shows by the Thriller BMX team, take a swing on the customized B.A. Sweetie 3-hole miniature golf course, make your way to the Junior Superhero Academy, and dance to your favorite songs at the kids DJ dance party.
On Saturday, come meet Daniel Tiger, Katerina Kittycat and other WVIZ / PBS Ideastream Education KIDS characters from 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Sunday will bring Arthur and Clifford the Big Red Dog courtesy of WVIZ / PBS Ideastream from 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Watch over a dozen animals, including lions, cheetahs, tigers, otters and grizzly bears take part in special scheduled animal enrichment activities. During your visit, feed a giraffe at the Ben Gogolick Giraffe Encounter in the African Savanna and visit the brand new Asian Highlands destination that is home to the Amur and snow leopards, red panda and the takin, a new species to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. While you’re there, learn how you can secure a future for wildlife with KeyBank ZooKeys.
Additional events include interactions with superhero characters throughout the day at the Welcome Plaza, crafts at the Primate, Cat & Aquatics building, Touch-a-Truck at Monkey Island Picnic Area, Junior Superhero Academy at the Ballarat Theatre and Professor Wylde’s Animal Show at Savanna Theatre.
Discounted Zoo tickets are available for purchase at all Northeast Ohio Giant Eagle locations and at futureforwildlife.org. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Society members receive free admission.
