Whatever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, your favorite ’90s sitcoms on TV?
Nostalgia lives on and it turns out that even long after the laugh(track)s have died out, the most iconic sitcoms of the 1990s are still a big deal to viewers across the United States. That’s why the team at USDish.com was curious to find out which sitcom each state can’t stop watching.
According to our findings, Ohio’s favorite ‘90s sitcom is Home Improvement!

Far out findings:
- Friends won out as the favorite in twelve states—the most of any ’90s sitcom. Could this show BE any more popular?
- Though Will Smith’s character in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is “West Philadelphia, born and raised,” Pennsylvania’s favorite ’90s sitcom is actually Full House. How rude!
- On the other hand, the Wisconsin setting is a big part of That ’70s Show, which may be why it’s the Badger State’s fave.
- Only one of these shows is still in its original run. The Simpsons, favorite of California, Oregon, and Virginia, is still making new episodes and, after airing its 636th episode in 2018, became the longest-running primetime scripted series in TV history. That’s a lot of opening credits gags.
