Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Cruise into the 12th annual Colo’s Classic Car Show presented by Nationwide at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The show will feature classic, muscle and low-rider cars from all over the state of Ohio. Colo’s Classic Car Show will also feature appearances by automotive icon, Dave Kindig, owner and chief designer of the custom fabrication automotive shop, Kindig-It Design. Dave Kindig’s appearances are brought to you by NAPA, Pepsi, Crusin Classics and Tattletale Alarms.
Kindig-It Design is a state-of-the-art, one-stop custom shop where automobiles are rendered, designed, built and restored into spectacular works of art. Dave Kindig has led the field with his special skills and vision to craft the most unique and one-of-a-kind vehicles on the planet. Since opening the business in 1999, the Kindig-It Design team has been featured in numerous magazines and has appeared on several television shows that have garnered worldwide attention.
Other highlights of Colo’s Classic Car Show include trivia hosted by Boots from Auto Smarts Radio, a 50/50 raffle and assorted raffle prizes with proceeds benefitting the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s conservation efforts.
Admission to the car show is included with a Zoo membership or general admission ticket for that day. Registration is $20 and begins at 8 a.m. Registration includes four same-day Zoo passes for the driver of the vehicle and passengers. Best of show trophies include: Nationwide’s Choice, Colo’s Choice, Jack’s Choice, Kindig’s Choice, Boot’s Choice, Pepsi’s Choice, Best Truck, Best Import, Best Paint, Best Antique, Best Exotic and Best Modified. There will be 13 trophy classes. Plaques will also be awarded to the top 50 cars and top 5 motorcycles.
All awards will be presented at approximately 2:30 p.m. The cars will be parked in the Zoo’s Jungle Jack’s Landing and Colo’s Cove.
