Men’s college basketball on ESPN: Road to Champ Week begins as regular season nears home stretch

The Road to Champ Week presented by Wendy’s begins as ESPN’s industry leading men’s college basketball coverage continues this week with more than 200 matchups featuring 18 ranked teams in action. Games are available across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network (SECN) and ACC Network (ACCN), as well as Big 12 Now on ESPN+, ESPN3, ESPN+, SEC Network+ and ACCNX on the ESPN App.

College GameDay Covered by State Farm is headed to Waco, Texas, this weekend for its second visit to Baylor University in three years. Host Rece Davis will be joined by analysts Jay BilasSeth Greenberg and LaPhonso Ellis for the one-hour live show at 11 a.m. ET, at Ferrell Center ahead of the top-10 matchup between No. 5 Kansas and reigning NCAA Champion and No. 10 Baylor (8 p.m., ESPN).

Saturday Primetime presented by H&R Block features that Big 12 rematch as the fifth-ranked Jayhawks face the 10th-ranked Bears at 8 p.m. Kansas defeated Baylor, 83-59, in the two teams’ first meeting this season on Feb. 5. The game, slated for ESPN with the commentator crew of Dan ShulmanJay Bilas and Holly Rowe, will also be delivered live in 4K resolution on DIRECTV, Comcast, YouTube TV and Verizon FiOS.

Schedule Highlights

  • Wednesday’s slate of games includes appearances by No. 6 Kentucky and No. 7 Duke on ESPN. The seventh-ranked Blue Devils travel to Charlottesville, Va., for rematch with Virginia at 7 p.m. The Cavaliers stunned Duke, 69-68, at Cameron Indoor earlier this season on Feb. 7. LSU at No. 6 Kentucky follows at 9 p.m.
  • Saturday Showcase Presented by 5-Hour ENERGY tips off at noon on Saturday, providing all-day hoops action for fans. The slate begins with No. 4 Purdue playing at Michigan State at noon on ESPN. Additional matchup highlights include No. 17 Tennessee hosting No. 3 Auburn (4 p.m., ESPN), No. 7 Duke visiting Syracuse (6 p.m., ESPN) and No. 23 Saint Mary’s facing West Coast Conference rival and top-ranked Gonzaga (10 p.m., ESPN).
  • Big Monday Presented by LinkedIn on ESPN on Monday, Feb. 28 includes Syracuse at North Carolina (7 p.m.), followed by No. 10 Baylor at No. 20 Texas (9 p.m.).

Another episode of the Our Time series exclusively on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ featuring the Baylor men’s and women’s basketball teams premieres Thursday, Feb. 24. COVID rescheduling has the Baylor women facing the same opponent in back-to-back games. Meanwhile, the Baylor men must address the void left by Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua’s season-ending injury. Freshman phenom Jeremy Sochan’s family visits from England and gets the opportunity to watch him play in-person at Baylor for the first time.
